How automatic issuance works
Certificate issuance in Houra Campus is triggered the moment an employee meets the completion criteria for a course. There is nothing for you to approve or send — the system handles it.Employee completes the course
The employee finishes all required lessons in the course. If the course includes an assessment, they must also pass it (meeting the minimum score you set when creating the course).
Campus marks the course as complete
Once all criteria are met, Campus updates the course status to Completed in both the Admin Panel and the Employee Portal. The completion timestamp is recorded automatically.
Certificate is generated
A digital certificate is created instantly. It includes the employee’s full name, the course title, the completion date, and your organization’s name. No action is needed from HR.
If a course does not have an assessment, the certificate is issued as soon as the employee marks the final lesson as complete. If an assessment is required, the certificate is only issued after the employee achieves a passing score.
Where certificates appear
Certificates are accessible in two places: For the employee: The certificate appears in the My Certificates section of the Employee Portal, under the Campus tab. Employees can view a digital version on screen or download a PDF to share with external parties — for example, when applying for a promotion or updating a professional profile. For HR admins: Every certificate issued to any employee is recorded in Campus → Reports → Certificates in the Admin Panel. You can see the full certification history for the organization at a glance, filtered by employee, course, date range, or team.Certificate history and HR reporting
The certification report in the Admin Panel gives you a complete, chronological record of every certificate issued across your organization. For each entry you can see:| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Employee | Name and role of the person who completed the course |
| Course | Title of the completed course |
| Completion date | The exact date and time the course was finished |
| Certificate ID | A unique identifier for each certificate |
| Status | Active (valid) or Revoked (if the course was unpublished or reassigned) |

- The file downloads immediately and includes all columns visible in the report view.
Using certificates for recognition and motivation
Beyond compliance, certificates are a practical tool for building a culture of continuous learning inside your organization. A few ideas for putting certificates to work:- Tie learning paths to career progression. Let employees know which certificates are expected for a promotion or role change, giving them a clear and motivating goal.
- Use completion data in performance reviews. The certification report gives you factual data to discuss in reviews, complementing qualitative feedback with measurable learning activity.
- Reward high completion rates in teams. Managers can use the team-level certificate report to celebrate departments that consistently complete their assigned training on time.
